| Idk if this is art or just engineering, lol. I rebuilt a lego MR-2 that I have in Solidworks. It's taken me about 2 weeks to complete, but I finished it today. | |

| Art project from last year I found when I visited home today! I plastered both of my hands and then painted on them with watercolor. My inspiration was the boss from the "Tower of the Gods" in LOZ the Windwaker | |

| Guys, I scored a position at an independent game project as a designer so I'll throw some prototypes up. | |

| Re-bumping old thread because I still have a little drawing ability. Just a side profile sketch of a character's head. Idiot hair for days. | |

| Thats really not bad, but I get where you are coming from. I think my own drawings are trash, same as most people who draw. The other half is an amateur photographer, and he things his photos are bad (which there not). Curse of anyone who is creative.

Well, I know I have potential. Yet I screw up a lot on my drawings, Even professional artists do that, but they have tricks that help them do that less and less. Such as doing thumbnail concept drawings. Think of it like a concept story board for a film, but using little boxes on one sheet of paper to draw your concepts on. This means you only waste one square on a single sheet of paper, as apposed to wasting a whole bunch of paper. Plus, getting better at drawing is only the same as everything else. Repartition and practice.

I should also add that if you try the 'thumbnail' method I just brought up, dont go into a massive amount of detail with them. That is not what they are for. They are quick drawings to help you quickly pen out a concept, then you pick a couple you like and add a tiny bit more detail to them. Then pick with you like best, only then moving onto the full picture with full detail. And use reference. If you are drawing an animal, even a cartoon one, use pictures of the real thing for reference. Same with people, places, buildings, even the sky. It all helps.

The only issue I have is the character head shot I posted above is a completely fictional species I've created. I have to come up with my own reference/assets to work off of.

| It has the features of an anthro K9 based character, so you want to be looking at wolves, dogs, foxes. These will all give you real world reference to work on, and will allow you to better represent your character design. | |
