One good thing about GT5/6s bad crash physics is that it allows for bumper-to-bumper, door-to-door racing. Although not realistic, it does make it more fun online.

Well forza has that too but there needs to bea certain number of people in a public lobby to make the damage off.
Forza horizon has that option but forza horizon ain't mitch ofa simulator as forza motorsport

Ugh... I don't think you get it, Kraze isn't talking about cosmetic damage...
Collision physics are always the same with or with out cosmetic damage...

^What Koolaid said. GT's "boing" collision physics was always something that made the GT series lag behind FM in the simulator department but when you're racing online with other people I would much rather prefer NOT to be taken out at the first corner.

Idk exactly how to put it because if you don't count gt5 prologue I haven't played gt5.
In other words i haven't played gt5 only.
Thus idk how the collisions would look like...

It's not how they look we're not talking crash damage, we're talking about what happens when you "hit" another car. In Forza, if you hit someone from behind or from the side you send that person off the track with some considerable force, you "hit" him. In Gran Turismo, when you hit someone you just "bump" him and nothing really happens. It's like the cars were some kind of sponges that can absorb impacts.

Still it does bump someone is someone is going 200+ mph and ramming a stopping car and the car goes flying

^ it dont even go flying if you go into them at that speed

Well yeah but not in the same magnitude as they would in Forza. It's like every car in GT weighs 10 tons.

maybe not entirely but reduces it.

There's also a penalty system that reduces your speed to 50mph for 10 seconds if you cut a corner or ram another person off the road. There are plenty of things that GT does better than FM when it comes to online play, especially Qualifying sessions, those are fun.

I'm really liking the drop in and out lobbies in GT5, it's nice being able to just mess around even if someone else wants to hot lap or something.

I do too. It really gives people freedom.

Probably guna get a refund for my ps3 and game, GT5 is so shit and number 6 probably wont be any better

Yo what about extreme stage?

Everything, the physics are so badly unrealistic, cant do anything to tge cars besides but rims and spoilers on them, no clutch, cant upgrade the brakes, engine noise is shit compaired to forza so its not even nice to listen to, you dont get any feedback on what your car is actually doing through the controller, graphics are shit, hard to get money in it and for half the cars you have to wait by chance to get them to appear in the used carlot, and it gives you the option to put a carbon fibre hood on your cars and when you click on it it says your not allowed it, wtf?, th r cockpit view is non existant, its just black inside, for the people that say gt is better than fm or its rivaling it then they have there heads stuck up thete asses, overall it feels like a shitty arcade game thats fun for about a day, and i dunno how people can call it a "simulation" driving game know some people are going off to fm5 and some to gt6 but I would rather be alone and okay fm4 than play either fm5 or gt6 and just save my money for a racing gsme thsts actually worth getting.

I dont think there is any point in keeping my ps3 for 1 game tbh, it looks like a fun game but again not a serious competitive game so im guna give it a miss
